Mockery Socks

Pattern: Mockery Socks
Yarn: Malabrigo Sock, 1 skein, in Ochre
Needles: US 1
Mods: None

This was one of the pattern knitalongs for the Malabrigo March group on Ravelry. I didn't finish my socks until April 5th - it took me exactly one month to finish. I really enjoyed this pattern. The cables are very subtle due to the fact that they are created using yarnovers and k2tog - a cable needles is never used (yay!). The socks are worked over 70 stitches instead of the 64 I'm used to. As you can see in the photo, they're a bit baggy around the ankles, so I think I'll try to stick to a 64 stitch sock in the future.

This was my first time working with Malabrigo Sock, and I know I'll be using it again. It's a little thinner than other sock yarns (it would work great for a shawl), but it's also very soft. And, of course the colors are beautiful.

Oh wow, these are really nice. Love the colour, love the pattern. I've been wanting to try some of the Malabrigo sock yarn (even have some in my stash). I think you might have just given me the big nudge to try!
